Differentiation for All Learners July 2004 |
Manhattan Beach Unified School District teachers and teachers of nearby school districts wrote differentiated lesson plans as well as units of instruction to share with other teachers. Click here for links which further explain differentiation. The individual lessons are created as PDF files and the units of instruction can be viewed online in html. The lessons are categorized by grade levels:
Content, process, or product is differentiated in each lesson or unit of study based upon a student's readiness, interest, or student profile. Graphic organizers are also included to help students organize their thoughts. Because differentiation depends upon good planning, each of the lessons and units also identifies the five elements of good instruction.
In the larger units, activities for each of the three types of intelligence - analytical, practical, and creative - are provided as well as pre-assessment activities and post-assessment rubrics. |
